Leendert de Jong, the outgoing programmer of Filmhuis Den Haag, has received the Jan Nijland Silver Rose for his 38 years of dedication to film. He received a check for €20,000. The award recognizes individuals or institutions of great significance to the Dutch cinema world. De Jong, who will retire soon, has made important contributions to film culture in the Netherlands, including organizing major retrospectives. Marieke Jonker received the Silver Rose for her work as a programmer and distributor.
