Joanne Oldenbeuving has been appointed as the new director and manager of Cinekid and will start on 1 July. She will succeed Nicolien Luttels, who is currently in charge ad interim. Oldenbeuving, with experience as director of the Amsterdam Youth Theatre School and VondelCS, will further develop the course of Cinekid. Cinekid, known for its annual children's film and media festival, will celebrate its 40th anniversary next year. The festival offers films, games, workshops and a professional programme, and reaches many children each year with its public and educational programme.
