Sven Bresser, Dutch director, presents his feature film debut 'Rietland' during the Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival. This is the first time in almost thirty years that a Dutch production is shown there. Bresser, who grew up in Waterland, says that the film, about a reed cutter who finds a dead girl, is inspired by his youth. The first reactions are positive. Bresser hopes to release the film internationally and is now celebrating with his team that the film is finished.
