Frans van Gestel, of the Dutch production company Topkapi Series, discusses his involvement with Hagai Levi's series "Etty," about the Dutch writer Etty Hillesum, who was murdered in Auschwitz. The series, primarily financed by Les Films du Poisson and partly by Topkapi, is in Dutch and filmed in the Netherlands. The story follows Hillesum's life and thoughts, with a creative narrative that alternates between timelines. The series, which also features Dutch actors and crew, will be broadcast internationally, premiering in Venice.
