Comedians Peter Heerschop and Viggo Waas have made a documentary about Waas's stroke in 2021. The film, titled "INFARCT" and directed by Marcel de Vré, premieres on September 16th at Tuschinski, Amsterdam, and will then be shown exclusively at Pathé cinemas. Heerschop supported Waas during his recovery, which involved learning to speak and walk. Part of the film's proceeds will go to the Brain Foundation for research and care.
