Two Dutch productions have been selected for the Tribeca Festival, which takes place in New York from June 3 to 14, 2026. Stand Up, the feature film debut by writer-director Mari Sanders, will have its world premiere in the International Narrative Competition and follows 23-year-old Vera, who ends up in a wheelchair after an accident and learns to look at her limitations anew through a friendship with Xander, a born wheelchair user. The film was produced by The Film Kitchen, with support from the Netherlands Film Fund and the Production Incentive. Additionally, the short film Odessa by Harald Swinkels has been selected; it is set in the Dolomites after World War II and previously had its world premiere at the Cleveland International Film Festival.
