During an NVJ debate at Beeld & Geluid, it became apparent that public broadcaster employees are seriously concerned about job losses, disappearing programs, and safeguarding identity within the four planned broadcasting centers. Meanwhile, Jet de Ranitz and Lonneke van der Zee, while labeling journalism as an "anchor point," could not provide concrete guarantees regarding the required budget cuts of over 112 million euros. NVJ board member Wais Shirbaz characterized uncertainty as the common thread of the afternoon, with journalist David de Jong additionally criticizing De Ranitz's detached attitude towards questions about the intimidation of reporters and the lack of decisiveness at the NPO.
