Don Quixote's Club

As a Theater teacher student at the Academy for Theater and Dance, I am looking for actors for my making study. In 10 rehearsals we will make a 20-minute performance in which all actors, like Don Quixote, fight with imagination against the beaten track. There is no script and you are given a lot of freedom to create your own images and scenes within the exercises that we perform on the floor. One time we investigate the theme of Don Quixote from music, the other time from the use of space and then again from a text or piece of clothing that you bring along. Ultimately, the discoveries are combined into the presentation that will be performed in a church in Friesland.

What do we offer?
We offer 10 inspiring rehearsals where you can gain a fantastic theatre experience, have your own input and two acting experiences. In addition, there will be a small snack and coffee, tea and drinks at each rehearsal. If you want to participate, and do not live near Oude Bildtzijl, I can think along with you about the possibilities regarding transport or compensation for travel expenses.

Description
We are looking for players who want to take on the challenge and dare to explore the limits of their physicality. Of course, within your capabilities and the agreements we make about this at the beginning of the process. You do not need to have any experience with theatre, you will be given various theatre techniques during rehearsals, with which you can work to tell your part of the story.
