My name is Dax Heesters, third year student Film and Photography at St. Joost School of Art & Design. This semester I am making a short fiction film with a strong thematic charge:
PERSEUS – a film about grief, masculinity, vulnerability and inner struggle.
The Story
We follow Hero, a young boy struggling with the loss of his father. He pushes his emotions away – until he can no longer escape. During his journey, he is confronted with his own dysfunctional behavior. Perseus is a film about facing yourself. About emotion, aggression, and the courage to dare to be vulnerable.
