Here Lies Lola is an independently produced short film and queer dark comedy exploring themes of chosen family, identity, and the right to remain yourself - even after death. The story follows three friends who, after losing their trans friend, discover that her conservative family plans to bury her under the wrong name and gender. In response, they decide to steal the coffin to give her the farewell she truly wanted.

The project is being developed in close collaboration with trans women across the Netherlands and Germany and is intended for film festival distribution.

Description
We are looking for a sound recordist/production sound mixer to join our short film Here Lies Lola.

The shoot will take place over 4 days (7-10 May) in Amsterdam, across multiple locations. All scenes are shot on location (no studio) and include a mix of interior and exterior setups.

Job requirements / profile
We’re looking for someone who feels comfortable working within a small, collaborative team, and who can confidently handle both dialogue-driven scenes and more dynamic environments. Ideally, you’re based in or around Amsterdam and open to working full shooting days (10–12 hours).

We’d love to work with someone who is enthusiastic about filmmaking and feels connected to the spirit of the project and its community.
