From Wednesday 28 October to Wednesday 4 November 2009, the third edition of the biennial Mexican film festival Cinemaztln will take place at various locations in Amsterdam. With a strong programming of film, music, debates and video art, the vibrant festival shows how history, tradition and folk culture influence contemporary life in Mexico. From a political and cultural perspective, the emphasis is on local developments in the country.

The festival opens on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 8:00 PM with the film Voy a Explotar by the talented Mexican director Gerardo Naranjo, which has never been screened in the Netherlands in Studio K in Amsterdam.
