First of all I will introduce myself, I am Lisette Schröder.
and graduated in Animation at the AKV last year. St. Joost in Breda. As a result, I am now looking for work/assignments to further develop myself within my professional field.

Prior to my studies at the AKV St. Joost, I obtained my Diploma as a Video Editor & Camerawoman at the ROC Rijn IJssel College in Arnhem. Here I mainly learned how to handle a camera, how to make a decoupage and how to edit video material. As part of this study I previously did an internship as a designer at De Mediamanagers (http://www.demediamanagers.eu/) in Huissen. During this internship I was quite pointed to myself, but that went very well for me. I mainly focused on the design of TV channels and commercials. But during this internship I also realized that I was getting stuck and in my opinion learned nothing new, in addition, there was also little opportunity within this company to grow in knowledge and technology. This motivated me to continue studying and push my limits.
So I continued my way to the AKV St. Joost and developed into an animator. During this study I quickly found out that I would prefer to make my own free films. Unfortunately, this cannot be financed and I will also have to go commercially. With this realization, I consciously chose the minor Graphic Design – Strategy & Design at the time. During this minor I learned how to develop a concept and how to market it and which interests are involved. During this minor I also got acquainted with briefings and pitching concepts for the first time. When looking for an internship, I was consciously looking for a large studio, partly because I have done an internship at a somewhat smaller studio before, and this time I wanted to experience how things worked within a larger studio. So I did an internship at 'Submarine' in Amsterdam. During this internship I worked on one big project with some projects next to it here and there. For example, I worked with a small team on the motion graphics based on archive material of old paintings, etchings, photos, etc. for the documentary 'Poor us: The animated history of poverty'. During this internship I learned a lot within the programs I worked with, what it's like to work with different departments, divide your hours, work with discipline and structure and I got a good idea of how things look. in such a studio.
Within the direction of animation my passion goes out to 2D animation. I prefer to work with 2D aspects within a 3D dimension in After Effects. A technique that I also applied in my graduation project, a project that not only shows my style but also clearly shows my love for video editing. However, my graduation film is not yet online as it is not yet "allowed to come online" because film festivals demand exclusivity. I would like to show these to give a better picture of me, my style and my work.
I cordially invite you for a sneak peek of my graduation film, curious? send me a message for the link!
