Documentary maker with a focus on subjects in which a combination of strength and vulnerability is visible. Her documentary 'Mattanja Joy' premiered at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam. She is currently working on a documentary in a hospice. She does a lot of work for National Monument Camp Vught, programs the film night Bossche Filmers in Verkadefabriek Den Bosch and is involved in the Dutch Documentary Projects Foundation as an editorial member. Ellen was a guest lecturer at the Fontys Academy for Creative Industries and likes to talk to young people about their passion for film.
