Amy Babtist, born in 1976 in Rotterdam and has now lived in Amsterdam for over 25 years. Since 2001 I have been working in the world of television, commercials, feature films and documentaries.
In October 2006 I decided to work as an independent video editor. My freelance career got off to a flying start. With the help of a small secondment agency, I was able to start working immediately for various clients and also work on my own network. In the years that followed I had the opportunity to work on an enormous diversity of beautiful TV programs; from Villa Achterwerk for the VPRO, where I made the pre- and final edits for 5 years, to Love Island for RTL, where I worked on all episodes for 4 weeks in Gran Canaria.
Working for many different clients on an even greater diversity of projects has given me the opportunity to gain a lot of experience. But also to continue to develop myself in technical, creative and program content areas.
With every project I edit, I always try to get the most out of the raw material, to create something fascinating, to tell the story as best as possible, to find a beautiful form, but above all to make the viewer feel.
