Kick Hoogewerf (1998) is a filmmaker who keeps the entire creative process in his own hands. He writes, directs, and edits his films himself, with a strong focus on short films, music videos, and commercial content.
Growing up in Beverwijk, just north of Amsterdam, Kick developed his visual language within the multidisciplinary collective Ozsipark, where fashion, music, and video came together. This period laid the foundation for his visual style and his storytelling.
After his studies at the Willem de Kooning Academy, where he graduated two years ago, he focuses on productions with a raw and ironic edge. In his work, he seeks a balance between humor and authenticity, and makes deliberate stylistic choices that create character and a recognizable signature.
In addition to his autonomous projects, Kick works freelance on various video productions, including for Sidequest, and creates music videos and social-first content designed to stand out, stick in people's minds, and deliver results on platforms like Instagram.
