Balkan Buro invites Southeast European filmmakers and video artists to react to our proposed theme: the Creative States of Southeast Europe. Submit your short-film entry to this competition and get a chance at one of the 3 FINAL PRIZES OF 500 EURO for the best Documentary, Fiction and Animation shorts. Finalists will be featured at the Balkan Snapshots Festival 2011 in Amsterdam - live and in person!

Eligible participants are filmmakers and video artists, aged 16-35, and from/based in Southeastern Europe: Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Turkey, Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia.

Balkan Snapshots 2011, taking place between 12-16 October, is a multidisciplinary festival combining independent film, theatre, music and artistic performances. The festival offers a platform for Southeastern and Western European artists and cultural actors to exchange experiences, knowledge and, most importantly, artistic expressions, in order to get to know each other and spark future collaborations.
