- RATED X ARTS ON EROTICS -
! AN OPEN CALL TO ALL (VIDEO) ARTISTS !
! THE RATED X \"ARTS ON EROTICS\" PROGRAM IS HERE !
If art deals with the details and the big issues of life, it certainly deals with the topic of sex and sexuality in the broadest sense of the word. Throughout the whole of art history there have always been comments on, and depictions of, the erotic and all that has to do with the place of sex and sexuality in society and personal life.
Rated X would like to invite young (video) artists to submit video works wich deal with the subject matter of sex, sexuality and the erotic. For the \"ARTS ON EROTICS PROGRAM\" the Rated X crew will compile a one and a half hour program of video works to be shown on the big screen during the 2009 Rated X - Amsterdam Alternative Erotica Film Festival. Next to that there will be a limited amount of monitors for the presentation of videoworks on the festival location as the opportunity to present one full fledged video installation.
After the festival the \"Rated X - Arts on Erotica\" program will be representing Rated X on different erotica and regular film festivals around the world.
This is an open call to artists in every sense of the word, there are no restrictions on content. Whatever you feel to be up to par goes!

- RATED X ARTS ON EROTICS -
! AN OPEN CALL FOR ALL AMATEUR EROTIC FILM MAKERS !
! THE RATED X \"HOMEMADE MARVELS\" PROGRAM IS HERE !
In this day and age of the internet, and the overwhelming amount of amateur/private/homemade videos of all the erotic joys the average Joe experiences, we at the RATED X festival would like to ask you to send us your homemade erotic video for the RATED X HOMEMADE MARVELS program as part of the 2008 edition of the RATED X festival January 2009. Because we think you might know best what the on-screen erotic should look like!
Are you making erotic videos for the fun of it and do you spend time making them more exciting to watch than the average \'amateur\' video? Do you feel that your videos are easily as erotic as what the commercial industry produces? Do you have your own take on how to bring the erotic to the screen? Are you experimenting with erotic imagery? Are you artistically involved? Are you proud of your work? Do you want to share it with a larger cinema audience? Send it to us!
For the THE RATED X HOMEMADE MARVELS PROGRAM we invite you to send us an erotic short movie with a duration of a maximum of 10 minutes. Out of the submissions, the RATED X crew will compile a program which will be screened during the RATED X - Amsterdam Alternative Erotic Film Festival at the Kriterion cinema in Amsterdam January 2009.
This is an open call in every sense of the word – there are no restrictions on content. Whatever you feel to be up to par goes!
