Humphrey

Humphrey Themen was born the 17th of April 1980. Humphrey is better known as THEprincOFbeatz, an upcoming producer/DJ from Amsterdam. Prince was raised in a household where music of all kinds was constantly playing. His brother is a break- dancer and producer from which he learned the basics of producing. When he turned 18 his interest for producing evolved. He started working on his brother’s equipment, Technics SL1200, MPC60, Roland w30 and Cubase”. Nowadays he makes use of more advanced equipment such as the MPC 2000XL,Novation SL, Logic pro and the Digi002. Prince took producing as a hobby, but it was after all the positive feedback he received, he started taking producing more serious. Prince is inspired by other greats like J Dilla, Pharrel Williams and Quincy Jones.
