Aitan Ebrahimoff

I’m Aitan Ebrahimoff (1991, UK) an artist-filmmaker based in Amsterdam. I hold a BA in Anthropology from Cambridge and an MFA in Lens-Based Media from the Piet Zwart Institute. My upcoming feature documentary Hungry Host (2026) is supported by Mondriaan Fonds in co-production with Trip to the Moon Films.
As well as making artist-films and documentaries, I direct and edit promos for the cultural sector in the Netherlands. I’ve worked with Het National Theatre, Joods Museum, IMPAKT, Fiber, and well as Creative Europe. I trained as a promo director in London at A+E Networks. I produced and edited trailers in a high-paced environment. I was nominated for Best Newcomer at PROMAX 2019 and received a Silver at PROMAX Africa 2020.
On indepedent films, I've worked as a 1st AC and cinematographer, a Producer, and film editor. I’m a self-shooting director and work with the Blackmagic system. I’m skilled in post-production workflows (Premiere Pro), retouching (Resolve, Lightroom) and on-screen graphics (After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign).
