I’m a filmmaker, cinematographer, photographer, film & media educator and musician with more than 20 years of professional experience in filmmaking and education.
As a Director of Photography and cinematographer, I have worked across documentary, musicvideo's, television, ENG, EFP and studio productions. That industry experience strongly shapes the way I teach: filmmaking is not simply about operating a camera. It is about story, light, composition, movement and emotion — and understanding why you choose one image over another.
As a film & media educator, I help emerging filmmakers develop technical craftsmanship, professional skills and, most importantly, their own visual identity. My work includes teaching, coaching, mentoring, curriculum development and assessment within audiovisual education.
Alongside education, I remain active as a filmmaker, with a particular interest in documentary stories about history, memory and how experiences from the past continue to influence the present.
Creativity has never been limited to film for me. I have been active in music since my youth as a guitarist, composer and songwriter. Today I create and release music through my own projects, including Garden of Souls, with CDs released worldwide by No Dust Records and collaborations with musicians from the international rock and metal scene.
Film, photography, education and music come from the same place for me: the desire to create, communicate and tell stories with a distinctive voice.
