The Story House (part of &samhoud) is looking for a creative cameraman/video editor with a passion for stories and social content!

Do you know how to captivate people in the first 2 seconds with a video? Are you bursting with creative ideas for reels and other short-form content? And do you want to help build brands and communities that really make an impact? Then you might be our new Social Video Editor!

At The Story House we tell stories that touch people and help them grow. Real stories, recognizable stories about social themes – stories that start conversations and have a positive impact.

What do you do all day? As a Social Video Editor, you are both a creator and a thinker. You film, edit and experiment with new formats and styles. But you also think strategically about how we make brands bigger and communities grow. Your tasks include:

Developing concepts for catchy videos;
filming & editing social content;
help build a community around different brands;
brainstorm with the creative team of The Story House about how we can bring our brands to a wider audience and how we can bring creativity and inspiration within our community;
experiment with and learn about the latest video techniques.

Job requirements / profile
You have MBO/HBO work and thinking level and have 1 to 3 years of experience in camera work and video editing;
you understand how social media works;
The social mission of The Story House appeals to you and suits you;
you are enthusiastic, optimistic and spot opportunities to portray something innovative;
you are flexible and can easily adapt to different situations;
you know the Adobe Suite and MacOS like the back of your hand. Premiere or Resolve is your testing ground, in which you are a handy tinkerer or better yet: a seasoned professional;
You have strong communication skills, at least in Dutch, preferably also in English;
you are available at short notice for at least 7 months.
