The first Film Award of 2026 went to the documentary "Rowwen Hèze - Blieve Loepe," about the band Rowwen Hèze. Filmmaker Ruud Lenssen's documentary was seen by over 10,000 cinemagoers. The Crystal Film award was presented to Ruud Lenssen during the industry-wide New Year's Eve gathering for the film and television industry at Eye Film Festival in Amsterdam. The Crystal Film is an initiative of the Netherlands Film Festival with support from the Netherlands Film Fund and the Abraham Tuschinski Fund.
