The Dutch documentary "Samen Sterk" (Standing Strong), directed by Jan-Willem Bult, won the Gold Award for Best Short Documentary in Milan. The film, shot last summer, premiered on September 7th, a date chosen because of the global attention paid to Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The documentary follows four men with the disease and demonstrates the importance of their support network. The production was made in collaboration with the Duchenne Parent Project.
