The Netherlands Film Fund has announced the new Studio Caribe round, which now also includes filmmakers from Suriname. This initiative, supported by additional funding from international cultural policy, aims to foster sustainable cultural collaboration between the Netherlands, the Caribbean islands, and Suriname. A total of 14 projects will be selected for development, of which seven, including one Surinamese project, will ultimately receive funding for their production. Applications are open from March 1 to May 5, 2026. More information is available on the Netherlands Film Fund website.
