Dutch-Chilean director Paloma Aguilera Valdebenito discusses her new film "Treat Her Like A Lady," which screens at IFFR. Starring Nienke Plas, the film tells the story of a homeless single mother struggling with hostile social services. Despite its heavy subject matter, the film is vibrant and colorful, inspired by Valdebenito's childhood in Amsterdam and her mother. The film was produced by Topkapi Films and will be released in the Netherlands in May by Cinéart.
