Six VR experiences were presented at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) 2026, including "The World Came Flooding In" by Isobel Knowles and Van Sowerwine. This VR experience, which highlights the 2022 floods in eastern Australia, is remarkably immersive. The creators used cardboard miniatures of flooded houses, which are also physically visible. There is also an option to passively experience the experience as a 360-degree film, which can be especially beneficial for inexperienced VR users. The festival runs until February 7, 2026, at the Katoenhuis in Rotterdam.
