Laila Bakker, a 2024 graduate of the Scenariovakschool (Scenario School), discovered her passion for screenwriting during her studies at the Schrijversvakschool (Writers' School). She previously wrote for VICE, and her films "Slapende Honden" (2024, directed by Gus Wolf Wickerhoff) and "Randgevoel" (2023, directed by Tessa Joosse) were screened at Dutch film festivals. Bakker is currently working on various film and series projects, including a personal project inspired by her childhood in a Utrecht coffeeshop. She is also co-writing a short film with Jasper de Bruin about the influence of drugs on the perception of reality.
