My Word Against Mine has achieved Crystal Film status. Maasja Ooms' documentary receives the Crystal Film award upon reaching 10,000 cinema visitors. The documentary presents a portrait of people who hear voices. In a revolutionary different treatment, the psychiatrist invites the voices to speak for themselves. Documentary filmmaker Maasja Ooms and producer Willemijn Cerutti received the fifth Crystal Film presented this year at the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam. The Crystal Film Award is an initiative of the Netherlands Film Festival, with support from the Netherlands Film Fund and the Abraham Tuschinski Fund.
