Jona Honer's documentary *Club Heaven* has its world premiere in the Visions du Réel 2026 Burning Lights Competition, in which the film explores the exclusive club scene of The Playhouse in Chengdu as a contemporary ritual for the Fuerdai, young Chinese people with inherited wealth. Honer filmed the visitors in silence using a thermal camera, causing them to appear as one moving body rather than individuals, while the staff appears in color and candidly after two months of daily presence. The film is produced by Femke Wolting and Bruno Felix of Submarine, with support from the Netherlands Film Fund.
