Tom Egbers is making the documentary *De Brief* for the EO, which will be broadcast on April 30 and in which he investigates Jetty van Thijn, a 24-year-old Jewish woman who was arrested during World War II and did not survive the war. The starting point is a letter Van Thijn wrote to the mother of theater producer Ruud de Graaf, after which Egbers searches archives in Rotterdam, Deventer, Twente, and Knoxville in search of a photograph of her. The EO describes it as a personal detective story about a woman who has been almost completely erased from history.
