The independent evaluation committee of the NPO concludes in the report *Focus on Core Values* that the public broadcaster lacks an explicit joint strategy to safeguard and make visible its core values—quality, reliability, pluralism, independence, and accessibility. The committee states that the complex structure of the broadcasting system, with overlapping roles and responsibilities, limits effectiveness in a media landscape dominated by international tech platforms. Substantial shortcomings in journalistic standards have been identified at prospective broadcaster Ongehoord Nederland!, putting the reliability of public information under pressure. The findings have been submitted to the Supervisory Board, which is presenting the report to the Minister of Education, Culture and Science.
