NPO and DPG Media are holding talks regarding closer cooperation in response to the growing dominance of platforms such as YouTube, Netflix, Meta, and TikTok. Concrete plans are being explored to offer NPO series via Videoland and to develop joint productions. DPG CEO Erik Roddenhof calls this collaboration necessary, while NPO Board Member Lucien Brouwer is open to further public-private partnerships aimed at making Dutch productions more discoverable among the international streaming offerings. Videoland, which now has 1.7 million subscribers, is viewed as an important distribution channel for local content.
