The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision has made 700,000 archive programs available online for free via the platform De Schatkamer, which attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors within a few days. The material, dating from the period 1920–2020, includes classics such as Klokhuis, Lingo, and Kopspijkers and is organized into categories such as humor, youth, and current affairs. Copyright limits the availability of more recent material, meaning the platform currently provides access to approximately half of one hundred years of public broadcasting production, while that share is expected to rise to 60 percent by the end of this year. The project stems from a commission issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in 2021.
