BNNVARA is eliminating a total of 79 jobs by 2027 as a result of budget cuts at public broadcasting. A reorganization is leading to the elimination of 46 positions, while 14 new ones are being created, and 47 jobs had already been lost due to the cancellation of programs. General Director Lonneke van der Zee states that the reorganization is aimed at maximizing the available budget for programming, as these measures contribute approximately 18 million euros to the structural budget cut of around 112 million euros at public broadcasting, with the intervention primarily affecting management and support departments.
