Joost van den Bosch and Erik Verkerk (Ka-Ching Cartoons) are co-producing *Cartoon Physics*, the new stop-motion short film by Ru Kuwahata and Max Porter, who were inspired by a poem by Nick Flynn after their daughter found a dead bird in the garden. The film follows a mother trying to protect her child from harsh reality, using the logic of cartoons as a metaphor. Ka-Ching is collaborating with Miyu Productions and Hélium Films, supported by a €50,000 minority co-production grant from the Netherlands Film Fund. The world premiere will take place at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, after which ARTE and RTS have already acquired the film.
