Several Dutch films and co-productions have been selected for the Giffoni Film Festival from July 17 to 25, 2026, with the program theme "The Impossible Things" serving as the unifying factor. Mees Peijnenburg presents A Family in the Generator +15 section, a film that had its world premiere at the Berlinale and explores vulnerability within a family under pressure. Also selected in the same section is Skiff by Cecilia Verheyden, a Dutch-Belgian co-production. King of the Wanderers by Janne Schmidt, with a script by Eveline Hagenbeek, focuses in Elements +10 on a daughter whose father lives with schizophrenia, while Julia van Braak's graduation short film The Little Hotel Detective appeals to younger viewers. Frederike Migom's Everyone's Sorry Nowadays, based on the novel by Bart Moeyaert, completes the Dutch presence in Generator +13.
