On the ferry to Eye Filmmuseum, director Ollie Launspach talks about the making of *kiss kiss bang bang*, a cinematic portrait of love that explores the impact of his gender transition on his girlfriend and co-creator Sterre Mulder. The film premiered in the Short Documentary Competition at IDFA and has been selected for Future Frames, the European Film Promotion program for promising European filmmakers, at the Karlovy Vary Festival. *Kiss kiss bang bang* is also Launspach's graduation film from the Netherlands Film Academy.
