The 28th edition of Film by the Sea opens on September 11 with *Youri* by Sander Burger, based on the autobiographical novel by Jan Brokken about his friendship with the exiled Soviet pianist Youri Egorov, starring Joes Brauers and Levan Gelbakhiani. Nine days later, the festival closes with *500 Miles* by Morgan Matthews, a British film about two brothers who travel 500 miles to their grandfather on the west coast of Ireland, based on the childhood novel by Mark Lowery.
