Suzie Vermunt graduated from the St. Joost School of Art & Design with *Oh mijn lievelingen*, a short psychological thriller about the fragility of female friendships, centering on loneliness and social anxiety. The film follows four young women who move into a remote house in the Biesbosch as squatters, while protagonist Ava becomes increasingly estranged from the group. Inspired by Lynch and Lanthimos, Vermunt deliberately incorporated surreal elements such as a giant agate snail and bizarre gelatin dishes to make the underlying anxiety tangible. The project was selected for the 3LAB graduation grant and supervised by the VPRO, for which she secured additional funding through the Chassé Cultuurfonds and crowdfunding.
