Halina Reijn will receive the Golden Calf for Film Culture at the Netherlands Film Festival. The Supervisory Board of the NFF awards this prize to individuals who have rendered exceptional service to Dutch film culture. As a director, Reijn built a successful career in America, thereby opening doors for the Dutch film industry. The Supervisory Board states that she has set a new standard. She inspires a new generation of filmmakers to make authentic choices and take artistic risks.
