Sandra den Hamer will be the new Chair of the Supervisory Board of IDFA. She succeeds Marry de Gaay Fortman, who is stepping down after eight years. Den Hamer was previously Director of the International Film Festival Rotterdam, Eye Filmmuseum, and the Netherlands Film Fund. Documentary filmmaker, journalist, and writer Clarice Gargard joins as a new member. Gargard is also Creative Director of Lilith Agency. Her work focuses on themes such as power, resistance, and intersectional feminism. Artistic Director Isabel Arrate Fernandez emphasizes that both appointments bring a forward-thinking vision for the film sector. With these appointments, the Supervisory Board strengthens its expertise in the fields of film, culture, and media.
