Tatjana Božić, a Croatian-Dutch documentary filmmaker, presents her new film *Fragments of Belonging* as an HBO Original. The film begins as a study of loneliness and gradually transforms into an exploration of connectedness. Božić draws on her own nomadic life in Russia, London, Croatia, and Amsterdam. She plays an exaggerated version of herself, a character she films without mercy as a director. The film explores how migrants fall between cultures without fully belonging anywhere. Božić distinguishes between expats and immigrants: rich versus poor foreigners. *Happily Ever After* (2014) prompted HBO to commission this new film.
