Alina Milkina's short animated film Mind Your Step premieres at the Netherlands Film Festival. The film follows Tamara, a Ukrainian refugee who works as a cleaner on Dutch public transport. One day, she dances through the metro, breaking through her invisibility. Milkina, a dancer herself, uses dance as a metaphor for freedom and self-expression. She also raises the question of who determines that people with a low social status must be invisible. A defining moment in her career was the support of animation producer Jamie Bolio, who gave her confidence in her own vision.
