Tingue Dongelmans has been writing for preschoolers for years and was a regular writer for Sesame Street for many years. Together with Fiona van Heemstra, she wrote the animated series The Adventures of Pim and Pom in the Museum, of which 26 new episodes are nearly finished. The picture book Pim and Pom and Art will be published in October. This year, together with Marc Veerkamp, she won the Silver Curl Award for best screenplay for *Shortly Before Pol the Pirate Mouse and the Vanished Ship*. Her theatrical background gave her a feel for dialogue and rhythm. She works from the perspective of character development: if that is strong, the story tells itself.
