Olivia Mos (Film Academy) made the documentary thriller *Hartslag van een ander* (Heartbeat of Another), in which she follows the journey of a donor heart to a recipient. The subject touched her personally when her father developed heart problems. The production required exceptional patience: it was not until the first day of shooting that the crew truly experienced what such a heart transplant entails. The golden rule was simple: follow the heart and keep filming. During editing, the scenes where something threatened to go wrong proved to be the most useful. An early turning point was the moment a stopped heart outside the body began beating again on its own. *Hartslag van een ander* is screening at the Netherlands Film Festival.
