Wendelien van Oldenborgh brings her feature film debut *Lyrical Vengeance* to the IDFA Envision Competition. The film connects three female writers from the 1930s and 1940s — Suwarsih Djojopuspito, Beb Vuyk, and Fumiko Hayashi — with contemporary queer collectives in Tokyo, Yogyakarta, and Rotterdam. Performers reinterpret the texts through roleplay and drag on the dance floor as a political space.
