Rockabilly zombie flick 'Meating Penny'

On October 29, the short horror film Meating Penny will premiere for the public and the press during the horror film program of the Leiden Film Festival at the LVC, the center of pop culture for Leiden and the surrounding area.

The one and only Leiden horror film
Meating Penny was conceived, filmed, and produced within four months and received considerable attention from the Leiden media. This 'no budget' horror film is the product of a large group of volunteers, companies, and sponsors that grew steadily along the way. The cast and crew consist largely of Leiden residents, but people from all parts of the country joined the ranks. Through close collaboration, great dedication, and the enthusiasm of all these people, the project ultimately succeeded, and Meating Penny became the first and only true Leiden horror film.

Great interest

The streets of Leiden witnessed bloody scenes surrounded by a film crew this summer, which often attracted quite a crowd. The local media did not let this go unreported, and Meating Penny has managed to pique the city's curiosity. The premiere, complete with a Halloween Party, DJs, and bands, is expected to draw a large crowd. Extra screenings have been scheduled at the Leiden Film Festival to allow all visitors to see the film.
