The idea is simple. Pick a film, gather some friends and make a remake that's less than a minute long. Send your creation to diss2011.nl before February 16 and show that you can easily hold your own among colleagues such as Quentin Tarantino, Steven Spielberg and Paul Verhoeven. Making a film doesn't have to be time-consuming, especially if you only get sixty seconds to tell your story.

On February 20, it will be announced in the Ketelhuis cinema in Amsterdam who has made the best sixty-second film in the Netherlands. The professional jury, consisting of Anna Drijver, Victor Ponten (Habbekrats), Gijs Kerbosch (100%Halal) and Jan Doense (film teacher), will judge all entries on the spot and choose a winner.
In addition to ovational applause, there is also a special prize for the best entry. The maker of the best film will attend The Jameson Empire Awards in London as a 'special guest' on March 26! Once there, you have a chance to win eternal fame by winning an Empire Award yourself.

But we are not there yet. Get started quickly and ensure that your remake takes your place in the gallery of the greats. The first 10 entries will also be rewarded with premiere tickets for the International Film Festival in Rotterdam. So what are you waiting for?
