Filmmakers, directors, young, old, experienced or new: We challenge you to make a short film (1-3 minutes) for Quickflick Amsterdam based on the globally established theme.

Your film on the big screen and making & learning by just doing it.
And if you're not a filmmaker, or don't have the time or inspiration? Then surely you should just come and take a look...?!

Filmmakers from all over the world have been called upon to do the same since 2001. Every month (simultaneously in every Quickflick city), this results in a fun party where all the films are screened and where you can talk, dance, and have a beer with like-minded people. And if you're really good, you might even win the Golden Quickie! A great prize that is truly useful to you as a filmmaker.

Currently, there are twelve cities connected to Quickflick:
London, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Berlin, Barcelona, New York, Mexico, Mumbai, Beijing, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, and Amsterdam. This enormous diversity of countries, and therefore cultures, fosters an international cultural exchange. Both during the bimonthly screenings and on the fastest-growing media platform, online video. On February 24, there is another Quickflick Screening Party in Amsterdam!

With the theme "Musical," this time you have the chance to show your short film of up to 3 minutes to the Amsterdam film audience. Should your film or animation be the audience favorite, it will be screened next time in Barcelona, Beijing, Berlin, Buenos Aires, London, Mexico City, New York, Paris, Sao Paulo, Tel Aviv, and Tokyo to a large international audience! This is your chance to work on your showreel, connect with creative filmmakers and producers, and showcase your work at an international film festival.

On February 24, the winning international entries from the previous edition with the theme "window" will also be shown.

Create a film or animation of no more than 3 minutes with a "musical" theme. Go as far as your creativity allows and be free in your thinking, actions, and approach, with time as the only limitation. Film submission deadline: February 17; send to [email protected].
