Announcement of nominations for the Netherlands Online Film Festival (NOFF)

For the NOFF, 58 short films of up to 30 minutes have been selected this year in the categories of drama, documentary, experimental, and animation.

The professional jury, consisting of Karin Wolfs, Geert van de Wetering, Vincent de Klerk, Pieter Kuijpers, and Iris Piers (winner of the 2007 NOFF Jury Prize), has nominated the following films for the KPN NOFF Jury Prize:

Notebook by Evelien Lohbeck
THE WINDMILL by Heerko Groefsema and Giso Spijkerman
ULTRA ALL-INCLUSIVE by Liza Kemman and Tobias Mulders
Since September 1, over 5,000 votes have been cast for the NOFF films via the website www.NOFF.nl. The public can vote for their favorite films on the website until October 2. The film with the highest score wins the KPN NOFF Audience Award.

The KPN NOFF Audience Award and the KPN NOFF Jury Award will be announced and presented on October 2, 2008, the final screening day of the Netherlands Film Festival, during the Talk Show with Matthijs van Nieuwkerk in the festival pavilion on the Neude. The Talk Show can be watched live via www.filmfestival.nl. Both awards come with a cash prize of 2,500 euros.

The NOFF is an initiative of the Netherlands Film Festival and takes place in collaboration with the Netherlands Film Fund, KPN, the KF Hein Fund, YouTube, and POOL Worldwide.
